Worldview helps 3PAR launch an early entry into the Japanese market 3PARdata Inc., a Silicon Valley start-up, developed an innovative “utility storage” infrastructure that enables large enterprise customers to store mission-critical data on high performance, highly available and manageable storage arrays.

Worldview provides customer and partner introductions Worldview was convinced that 3PAR would be successful in Japan with the right partners. As 3PARs product neared completion, Worldviews Japan business development team actively sought strategic opportunities in the Japanese market, contacting several potential customers and top-tier resellers. During the first quarter of 2001, Worldview began to build a sales pipeline for 3PAR in Japan. As part of this process, Worldview uncovered an important prospect with a strong interest in utility storage. Worldview arranged a trip for 3PARs CEO and VP of Marketing to visit Japan to meet with the prospect, build strategic partnerships and gain a deeper understanding of Japans unique market dynamics.
By mid-2001, 3PAR signed NetOne and Nissho as the companys first resellers in Japan. 3PAR deepened these relationships by agreeing to strategic investments from both groups. Building partnerships with two top-tier firms, and establishing the foundation for localization, marketing, and sales in the Japanese market, were instrumental to 3PARs success in Japan. Expanding into Asia and Europe Worldview continues to work with 3PAR to facilitate expansion around the world. Worldview and 3PAR are now focused on growth opportunities in Europe and other countries in Asia.
